Why do we need your name and contact details?

To deliver your order to you - We need your name and delivery address to make sure your products are delivered safely and securely.

To send you order and delivery updates - We need your email and/or telephone number to let you know we’ve received your order and update you when it’s out for delivery. You can also log in to your account to view your order status.

To send you product launches, promotions and offers - We want to email you to let you know about all the latest offers and promotions. We’ll only send these emails with your permission. You can manage your preferences through My Account.

For fraud detection and prevention - We need your name and billing/delivery addresses to make sure no one is using fraudulent information. This helps to protect you and us.

 

Why do we need your date of birth?

To send you exclusive birthday treats and offers - Of course you don’t have to provide this information to us, but who doesn’t love a birthday treat?!


How do we use your gender information?

To direct you to the products most relevant to you - Of course you don’t have to provide this information, but it might help with product recommendations.

 

How do we use your payment information?

To take payment for your order and process refunds when necessary - We take payment as soon as you place your order. We never store any payment information.

Why do we keep your contact history? E.g. An email with an order query.

To help our Customer Services Team resolve any queries or issues you may have and to make sure we’re providing  the best service possible - We’ll keep a record of any communication regarding your order. If necessary, this information can be found under ‘About Your Order’. Alternatively we will respond to you using the email address provided.

 

Why do we store your Shopping Bag and Order History information?

To send you Shopping Bag reminders - We don’t want you to miss out on the latest offers and promotions, so we’ll send you a reminder email if you added products to your Shopping Bag but don’t checkout. You can empty your Shopping Bag to stop receiving these emails.

To keep a record of previous orders - Your Order History is available under My Account. Here you can access any information relating to previous orders and also easily re-order.

 

How do we use information about your phone or computer when accessing our website?

To improve usability of our site on computer, phone or tablet - We want to make sure you can easily use our site no matter what device you access it on and we continuously test visibility of pages.

 

Why do we need your name and contact information for competitions and waitlists?

To let you if you're a winner of a competition or monthly prize draw - We need your email address to contact you if you are the lucky winner to one of our competitions. All entries are stored on a secure database and winner/s selected at random using a number generator. If you submit a review for a product on our site, you’ll automatically be entered to our monthly prize draw. Winners are picked at random using a number generator and contacted with the email address provided.

To send you a waitlist promotion - We need your email address to contact you If you’ve signed up to a waitlist for a new product launch/pre-order option.

 

You don’t have to provide any of the above information with us; however, without some information (name, email, address and payment information) we won’t be able to fulfil an order to you.

Sharing your information

We do not sell any of your personal information to any third parties.

However, we do share some of your data to process and deliver your order to you (payment services, warehouse packing team and couriers) and also to professional service providers (marketing and advertising partners and website hosts) who help us run our website and provide the best service possible to you.


Marketing Emails

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we’ll send you emails with promotions, offers, new launches and competitions. You can unsubscribe to these emails at any time.

How to unsubscribe:

  • Click Edit on Newsletters under Account Information in My Account.
    Untick General Subscription and click Save.

  • Contact our Customer Services Team here.

Unsubscribing to our newsletter will not stop Customer Service emails such as order confirmation and delivery updates.


Why am I seeing advertisements for Gorgeous Shop on other websites?

We use online advertising to help you find the latest beauty launches and offers or promotions we are running.

We target Gorgeous Shop advertisements to you on other websites and apps through various advertising technologies (such as ad tags, cookies, web beacons, mobile identifiers) using digital marketing agencies and ad exchanges. We also use specific services from social media networks such as Facebook’s Custom Audience service.
