Make the Most of Your Easter Weekend

The first bank holiday of 2018 has arrived, which means four whole days to make the most of! Here's how #TeamGorgeous will be spending the Easter weekend.

From weekend walks to big nights out and at-home pampering time, the bank holiday weekend means there’s plenty of time to indulge. Here’s how Daisy, Clare, Jess and Katherine from #TeamGorgeous will be spending theirs.

Friday

The best thing about a bank holiday Friday off work is that I have longer to get ready! This bank holiday I’ll be getting ready for date night. Sometimes my favourite part of the evening is getting ready with a glass of Prosecco on the go and a podcast playing.

After a nice long hot bath, I get to work on my hair. For extreme volume I used Redken Guts Spray in Mousse, then I use my ghds to curl and wave my hair after blowdrying. I finish my hair off with Kérastase Volume in Powder.

Makeup wise – I like to keep it quite natural, even when I’m going out. My fave base is bareMinerals Complexion Rescue and I’ve also been loving the new BAREPRO Concealer. It literally hides EVERYTHING.

Once my hair and makeup is done, it’s time to get on my dancing shoes & head out for cocktails!

Saturday

After a big bank holiday weekend night out, there’s nothing I look forward to more than a lazy sofa day with my fiancé. After a long bath, I’ll treat myself to a hair mask and sheet mask while we put on the latest must-watch Netflix documentary or movie.

Recently I’m loving the MaskerAide sheet masks and the new Elizabeth Arden Superstart Probiotic Boost Skin Renewal Biocellulose Mask. MaskerAide’s Hydrating Eye Gels are also a total lifesaver for hungover/tired eyes!

A lazy day at home, particularly if I’m feeling a little worse for wear, also tends to feature some kind of takeaway! The tough part’s deciding which one to go for…

Sunday

I love Bank Holiday weekends as it means there is a day (or two!) where you can fully enjoy time with family and friends without feeling guilty about not having done all those boring chores and food shops!

We don’t often need an excuse for a family get-together, but Easter always feels a bit more special than our usual family gatherings.

Easter Sunday will involve food, food and more food – It’s acceptable to eat Mini Eggs for breakfast, right?! – as well as planning the egg hunt for the little ones. I can imagine the not-so-little ones will end up joining in too!

Monday

I love having a break with a long bank holiday weekend and this Easter we will be hunting for Easter Eggs in Cornwall. We’ll be visiting Truro Cathedral, the local traditional sweet shop and no doubt stopping off at one of the lovely local pubs too!
