From interning at the White House and building her own business, to starting each day with hot yoga, Natalie Plain is one inspirational woman.

Celebrating International Women’s Day, we’ve put together a Women in Beauty series delving into the lives of inspirational women heading up the beauty industry. Here, we catch up with Natalie Plain of Billion Dollar Brows.

What helps you relax and unwind from work?

I LOVE hot yoga. I tend to start my day very early at 5:45 am waking up with an hour long hot yoga workout. It’s actually what sets my day in motion and helps me manage anything that comes my way. Being with my husband, kids, a nice meal and a glass of wine is my ideal of a perfect night and is the best way to relax.

What is your daily mantra?

Embrace opportunity from every angle. You never know who you will meet and always take the meeting!

What advice would you give your younger self?

I’m really pleased with my younger self, but I always wish I had spent more time with my Grandparents who passed away.

What’s next for Billion Dollar Brows?

Basically, we are taking the name and spinning it off into the best of all things beauty. Billion Dollar Brushes are launching this year and we have many more Billion Dollar Brands in the que.

What gives you strength?

My husband, my children and my entire B$Brows team is what drives me to better than the day before.

What has been your biggest professional hurdle?

Having to pace myself, and not allow the competition to get in my mojo.

What has been your biggest professional (or personal) achievement?

Giving birth to Billion Dollar Brows and birth to two healthy children.

What do you do for fun?

I love to go to the movies with my husband and eat at fun restaurants in Los Angeles.

What is your Desert island product (from your own brand!)

The Micro Brow Pencil in Taupe!

What woman has had the most influence in your life? Or who is the woman you most admire?

My Great Grandmother was a seamstress for a top designer in Hollywood in the 1920’s through the 1970’s. She always had style, a strong work ethic and beautiful skin. Her nickname for me was Petunia, hence that is why I named our corporation Petunia Products.

If you ruled the world for one day, what universal law would you put in place?

Having interned at the White House, I often had the opportunity to partake in many privileges that the President enjoyed, including access to powerful and very brilliant individuals.

If I ruled the world, I would ensure that children would have the best and safest education at all cost. They are the future and we must protect them. My kids keep me in my place everyday!
