“Stress. Is it really a skin problem?“

Victoria says:

Yes, though we may think about stress as a mental and physical problem, being stressed can negatively impact your skin. But skin stressors come in different forms, internal stress and external stressors. The top external skin stressors are pollution and UV exposure. They cause oxidative stress and barrier damage which results in premature skin ageing. Our skin is also affected when we feel stressed due to the release of stress hormones such as cortisol. “You mentioned that this moisturiser contains multiple vitamins, can you tell us about how they benefit the skin?”

This combination of antioxidant vitamins neutralises free radicals and nourishes skin to restore the barrier. Plus, Linoleic and Linolenic Acid (Vitamin F) which are essential fatty acids from safflower oil improve the skin’s barrier, resulting in a smoother texture. We’ve also included Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) and Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) This combination helps alleviate stressed skin from dryness and soothes with calming properties.
