Introducing the two new launches from Redken in the Dry Texture Collection: Dry Shampoo Powder 02 and Dry Shampoo Paste 05.

These products have been specifically designed to absorb oil, refresh and extend your hair style. Both dry shampoo products give hair volume, grip and texture without crunch and residue.

#TeamGorgeous headed down to Radio King’s Cross for the launch of the two innovative products and to trial them out.

“I was really excited to try these stylers out as I am always wanting a bit more volume and LOVE a dry shampoo. The stylist decided to use the Dry Shampoo Powder 02 on my hair first. She applied this to the roots of my hair to add a bit of a boost. Was really impressed with how this dry shampoo didn’t leave my hair looking dull. I particularly find this can happens a lot with dry shampoo on brown hair.

The stylist sectioned out my hair, starting with the lower layers and then used ghd Curve Classic Curl Tong to add some curls to my hair. These were then loosened out to give a more relaxed feel.

We then used the Dry Shampoo Paste on my hair after curling was finished. The stylist rubbed between her fingers and added a bit more body and texture to the front sections of my hair. Giving a thicker, fuller appearance.

Absolutely loved my final look, texture, volume and loose beachy waves – my favourite style!”

“For my look we went down a bit more of a festival route. I really fancied getting something done by the stylist that I wouldn’t necessarily have tried myself at home. We decided that braids were the way forward!

Again, the look was started by adding the Dry Shampoo powder to the roots of my hair. The stylist explained that this product is really great to use to give braids more of a grip and a stronger hold as well as thickening the hair to give appearance of more volume.

The stylist started at my parting and braided out towards the back of my ears, leaving smaller sections of fringe that was then curled. This gave a softer, more gentle style to the look.

After the braids were secure, the Paste was added to the front part of my fringe as well as the ends of my hair to give a bit more of a gritty texture – perfect for any festival this year! These products especially work well on second day hair. Both products absorb the excess oil so the second day style always looks like first day hair!”
