The perfect look for va-va-voom volume - the big and bouncy blow dry. Here's how to get the look with L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Rebel Push Up.

Achieving the ultimate blow dry is easier said than done. So we decided to give the NEW volume-boosting L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Rebel Push Up a whirl! Could it transform our lacklustre locks?

Before

When we arrived at Gorgeous Hairdressing to trial the new product, our hair had seen better days. Looking a little flat and dishevelled, we were definitely ready to get that blow dry started!

Step One

We began by washing the hair with Pureology Perfect 4 Platinum Shampoo and Conditioner. Banishing brassy tones, boosting moisture and enriching the hair with protein, the formula keeps blondes blonde for longer.

Step Two

Once hair was washed and clean, we applied the new Tecni Art Rebel Push Up to the hair, focussing on the top and middle. We also applied L’Oreal Professional Mythic Oil Original Oil to the lengths and ends, to keep it extra soft! If you wanted, you could use Kérastase Elixir Ultime Versatile Beautifying Oil Treatment instead. We then rough dried the hair until it was 85% dry, drying in a downward motion to keep the cuticle smooth, and moving the hair with the hand to create volume.

Step Three

Once hair was 85% dry, we reapplied the Tecni Art Rebel Push Up to the hair. This technique’s known as double moussing, and provides extra hold and volume. Apply to the top, crown and sides, we then sectioned the hair. Lifting the hair and aiming the hairdryer up the hair, we ensured to constantly lift the hair up to create more and more volume. Once each section was dry, we looped the section around our fingers and clipped. We ensured to curl and clip the trop section away from the face.

Top tip: The tighter you want the blow dry, the less fingers you should loop the hair section around. Bigger sections means more bounce, smaller sections means more of a curl!

Step Four

Once all hair was dried and clipped, we applied Redken Control Addict 28 Hairspray to help set the look and left the clips in for around 10 minutes. Once we were satisfied the clips were ready to remove, we unclipped the loops and shook out the look with our hands, applying more hairspray to hold the blow dry in place.

After

Wow! What a transformation. We could not be happier with this blow dry, the best we’ve ever had! It’s no secret that Tecni Art Rebel Push Up is now top of our staff order form.
