The winter months can play havoc with our skin; we often find that it can become dry, dehydrated and feel tight. So how can we solve our dry skin concerns? Here’s the good news, we do have control over some of the exacerbating causes so here are our tips.

Follow Balance Me’s 3 Simple Steps to Combat Dry Skin

Temperature Control

Dry skin can appear by simply the temperature of our water. As much as a long, hot bath and shower at the end of a long day sounds pretty appealing, spending a long time under hot water makes the skin more vulnerable and saps moisture from the skin. Avoid bathing for too long and ensure the water isn’t too hot. To deeply nourish and replenish the skin use a body wash rich in essential fatty acids such as the Balance Me Super Moisturising Body Wash. Another really great tip is to add a cap full of body oil into your bath, such as the Balance Me Super Moisturising Body Oil, in order to hydrate the skin whilst you soak.

All About Oils

Adding oils and serums into your skincare routine is a sure-fire way to treat dry skin. These products penetrate the layers of the skin more effectively than a moisturiser does which merely sits on the surface of the skin. Be sure to look out for oils and serums containing ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, such as the Balance Me Restore and Replenish Cream Cleanser, which will instantly hydrate, plump and smooth skin.

Clean Slate

Using an oil-based cleanser rather than a wash will ensure that the skin is deeply nourished and not stripped of its natural oils. The Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm contains a trio of nourishing butters, Shea, Cocoa and Mango, rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins to plump and nourish. It also contains Oat powder to gently slough away any dead skin, revealing a radiant complexion.
