Planning on updating your look next year? Beauty Blogger Tiffany Legg gives us the inside scoop on 2018 hair trends.

Whether you’re planning a full hair overhaul or just want to try something new, we all like a little change in the new year. Just like fashion, hair trends are becoming frequently more changeable. It’s sometimes hard to keep on top of what’s ‘in’, so choosing to take the plunge and dye your hair a different colour isn’t always an easy decision. We caught up with Tiffany Legg, owner of Beauty and Lifestyle blog, Tiffany Tales to get her insight into what we should be looking out for next year.

How does a beauty blogger keep on top of trends?

Knowing where to look is half the battle when trying to find some style inspiration. Tiffany takes to social media to seek out the latest styles and always has her finger on the fashion pulse:

‘I normally discover new trends through Instagram. Being such a visual platform, it’s a great place to spot exciting products and looks. If I don’t pick up on a trend via scrolling through my Instagram feed, it’s normally while researching for inspiration for a blog post. Oh and of course, there’s always Fashion Week. The catwalks are always packed with weird and wonderful trends.’

So, what trends can we expect to see on on the high street next year? Apparently, it’s all about the finishing touches:

‘One of the trends I’m super excited about (and it’s one that has already made an appearance this year), is the return of the scrunchie. They’re a total blast from the past, but done right, they can look extremely cool. I’ve seen them rocked in a lose, low pony or at the end of a messy fishtail braid. I’ve also heard that headbands are making a comeback, so it seems like 2018 is going to be a great year for hair accessories.’

Dyeing, styling and maintaining…

Seeing her vibrant ginger locks that are ‘so in right now’, it’s hard to believe Tiffany’s hair colour is all natural. Despite this, she’s picked up some gems of information about next spring’s most wanted colours.

‘I’ve never dyed my hair, so I don’t massively keep up with the colour trends, but I have heard that there is a rather delicious sounding shade coming onto the hair scene next year… Cream Soda. It’s a beautiful mixture of brunette and blonde and gives your hair that ‘lit from within’ look; perfect for spring/summer.’

Tiffany also shares her go-to hairstyles for those busy days, saying ‘Depending on my outfit, I either opt for a loose braid or messy top knot.’

And, of course, we had to get her secret into how she keeps her hair looking so glossy and healthy:

‘A good quality shampoo and conditioner and a daily spritz of hair oil. I don’t think many people realise just how important good quality hair products are, they really make all the difference to the condition of your hair.’

We’ve all got our celeb hair crushes, whether you love Cara Delevingne’s punk pixie crop or can’t wait to see what style Kim Kardashian will adopt next. Tiffany says,

‘For me, it has to be Blake Lively. Does that girl ever have a bad hair day?’

If she does, we’re yet to see it. But everyone makes style mistakes, even hair and beauty bloggers. Tiffany tells us about her own cringiest hair moment:

‘Do you remember the tribal braids that Katie Price had in the Jungle? That was definitely not a look I could pull off and it’s safe to say I won’t be trying it again.’
