From the smokey eye to the classic red lip, here are some make-up tutorials you're bound to love. All of which are less than 10 minutes long!
The world of make-up is a diverse one, with eyeshadows, lipsticks and even foundations available in an endless array of colours and shades, it seems any look or style is possible. This is why YouTube is crammed full of various make-up artists, showing you how to perfect any look form the smoky eye to the everyday contour. Such make-up tutorials can help even the most novice become a pro at applying Instagram-worthy make-up. So whatever style you’re looking for, here are our favourite make-up tutorials that last just 10 minutes or less.
Kicking off the list is Laura Lee’s natural make-up tutorial, which can be used any day of the week. With over two million views, it’s easy to see why Laura’s video is so popular as she easily creates a soft, feminine look. Starting by moisturising and priming, Laura next applies a Clinique foundation which she blends in using a brush. After that a little bronzer and then blusher is applied on the cheekbones. She then opts for a neutral eyeshadow and a slightly darker shade on the crease. After that, a little eyeliner and mascara is applied for definition. Then, finally a nude liquid lipstick. See how to do it here:
Glittery eyelids is both a glamourous and very on trend look. It’s also pretty easy to achieve, as An Knook proves. This make-up artist starts with an eyelid primer which she sets with a translucent matte powder. After this a soft and fairly neutral brown eyeshadow is applied to the crease of her eyelid. This area is then layered with 2 darker shades which are both carefully blended into the crease. Next a white eyeshadow is applied to the inner corner of the eyes, this is mixed with a glittery gold shade in the middle of the lid and a glittery copper colour on outer corners. After this An Knook applies the glitter, which is carefully stuck on using a medium gel. Finally, it’s time for liquid eyeliner and fake lashes and voila!
The renowned red lip is a must when it comes to make-up. It’s also probably one of the easiest to achieve, needing just simple eye make-up and a bold lipstick. Sayan Yildiz’s handy 7-minute tutorial starts with a quick layer of foundation, followed by contouring, which is then blended in using a beauty blender. Her eyes are carefully defined with winged eyeliner and fake eyelashes are applied. For grand finale, the lips, she carefully uses a dramatic red lip liner. Sayan’s lipstick of choice is then a matte liquid lipstick again in show stopping red.

Last but not least is the iconic smoky eye. This one is surprisingly easy to achieve thanks to this 9-minute guide by Maya Mia, which boasts 14 million views. Maya’s technique involves priming her eyelids and applying a light shade as the base. She then layers a golden shade on the tear duct area and applies a brown-silver colour to the centre of her lids, which is followed by a dark grey to the outer corners of the eye. She ensures all 3 colours are softly blended together, before applying an orange shade just over the crease of the eye. After that, a black eyeshadow is layered over the grey colour and blended in carefully. A pale cream colour is used just below the brown bone to highlight, while the black colour is blended into the lower lash line. Finally, a liquid eyeliner is applied with a flick and then smudged in using a brush. Then it’s just a matter of fake eyelashes!
