That is where Gatineau's Aquamemory line comes in to help, with its leading innovations in skincare for dehydrated skin. Well-hydrated skin is made up of 70% moisture, and this balance is regulated by molecules naturally present in the skin: osmolytes which "capture" moisture and aquaporines which "transit" moisture. When the skin is exposed to external stresses (wind, sun, pollution, temperature change etc.), this ideal level of moisture - known as the "osmotic balance" - is upset. So, to re-establish hydration, Gatineau has developed Osmaporine Technology for its Aquamemory products, using a complex list of active ingredients taken from marine algaes and plants, both selected for their defensive capacity against the dehydrating stresses in their environment.
